kanata shinkai is always wet!
so let me start off by saying that i have only been playing ensemble starts for about two years now; however, I have had my eyes on kanata for much longer then that. I discovered enstars a few months before i had actually started playing it and kanata had peaked my interest. I as unable to play the game though because i was on an apple device with no Japanese app store account but once i purchased my tablet i was able to get the game and i have never been happier. i do not particularly like the game in itself but the stories that come with the beautiful cards are so heart-clenching, especially kanata's storyline
his personality may seem like a joke half the time but the way he acts is kind of his own little coping method for the problems he faces with his family. thinking about kanata's home life will never not hurt my heart... and it is very easy to sympathize and connect with him because i have faced much worse with my family. but i am proud of him for being able to find interests and friends that make him happy and keep him going. Ryuseitai, the marine bio club, and the 5 oddballs have also become huge comforts for me because of him. it is so astonishing how everything he does and the people who make him happy also make me unbelievably happy.
I really love how mysterious he is and how his character is so heavily based around the ocean.. his solo, his hair, his eyes, his interests, even his signature... its just all the ocean and fish. I mean the first thing he ever says in the main story is 'Alright, alright. Midori, would you like to eat some fish?" I think that the vastness and mystery of the ocean is perfect for him and it just completely symbolizes who kanata shinkai is and when ever I think about that my heart starts beating 10000 bps. I also want to mention that he loves being in water, like just sitting in water.. he loves it, but heres the thing. HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO SWIM. but he still sits in the fountain when ever he can. He is super funny too. despite being the most mysterious man ever he is also super childish hehe he is the cutest. He talks slowly for no reason because he only "speaks" in hiragana,, and he call all his fish in the marine bio club room his children... kanata can talk to the creatures of the ocean and I sure as hell believe it. But he also has his freaking ryusei chop and it may be fucking cute but it is also super scary because kanata is A BEEFY GUY. he can carry fish tanks FILLED with water by himself and that just goes to show how freaking fit he is. It has also been noted that out of everyone in ryuseitai kanata is the best at singing and dancing and I just think it is so wonderful that he is so talented and just so good at being perfect.
moving further on as to why i love him I would just like to say that kanata's relationships with all his friends is the sweetest thing ever. i love how much he cares about ryuseitai and how close he has become with the marine bio club... and even though the oddballs are no more it is lovely how they all still care for eachother. even if kanata is mean to madara, he knows that kanata secretly cares about him so he will continue to spoil him and i think that is the cutest shit ever.
i would also like to add the kanata has the voice of angels. i was a sobbing mess when his solo was released with the ryuseitai album. hearing him sing about the thing he loves most made me so happy that i was in a state of pure bliss after listening to it for the first time, i astral projected myself into the 5th dimension and i haven't been the same since . I never thought a song about the ocean that wasn't ocean man would make me feel happy when listening to it
I am not as wellread on enstars as I would like to be. I am very busy so I do not have much time to read stories he is in but i truly do try my best to keep myself updated on everything that is kanata shinkai. I will be frequently updating this lovemail everytime I think of something new to talk about. I really wanna do a complete character analysis of kanata as soon as I have read every story he is in So i can make this en extremely full of heart lovemail.
